Overview:

Abstract: This Bachelor-Thesis covers an inventory of twelve in oil executed paintings of the artist Annemarie Heise (1886-1937), belonging to the painting collection of the Kunstmuseum Moritzburg in Halle (Saale). Due to the partially double-sided use of the image carrier, the oeuvre encompasses altogether eighteen different pictures on canvas, which had been created between the nineteen-twenties and nineteen-forties. Formative stylistic devices come from the late Impressionism, the Expressionism and the New Objectivity. These double-sided paintings represent a further challenge in relation to their display, which will be dealt with in the last part of the thesis. The inventory catalogue documents the current condition of all paintings including the decorative frames and constitutes a database which serves as a base for scientific and art historical studies.
